Veterinarian
Dr Justin Pochman (he/him) is dedicated to building strong, lasting relationships with both pets and their people. He values collaborative care and prioritizes client education to ensure every pet receives thoughtful, personalized treatment.
Dr Pochman focuses on safety and comfort. He is happy to do exams and treatments wherever the pet feels most comfortable. He is passionate about wellness and preventive care for all life stages. Dr Pochman also has a special interest in dentistry and training the next generation of veterinarians.
Dr Pochman has an undergraduate degree in biology from the University of Colorado Boulder. He earned his MBA and Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from Colorado State University. While a native of Massachusetts, he made Colorado his forever home in 2005.
He loves camping, skiing, and traveling with his wife and three kids. He enjoys watching his daughters play volleyball and cheering on his son in the Special Olympics of Colorado. He has a heart for adopting rescue animals, and currently has Maple Syrup (a Bernese Mountain Dog) and Captain Norman von Pancake (a tabby cat).
Hospital Manager
Alex (she/her) is dedicated to nurturing the relationship between people and their pets. Clients love her attention to detail and clear communication. She collaborates with her team to always provide the highest level of care.
Alex loves spending time surrounded by animals and helping them live happy, healthy lives. She prides herself on being a voice for the voiceless. She leads by example, practicing Fear Free techniques and an individualized approach to keep pets safe and comfortable.
Alex received a Bachelor of Science in Environmental Science from the University of Vermont. She minored in Art History and also studied herpetology. Her hobbies include cooking elaborate meals, tending to her balcony garden, and exploring local farmer’s markets and flea markets. She shares her home with Chickadee, a rescue chiweenie who is blind; Marciano (Mars), a kitten; and Wasabi, a Whites Tree Frog.
Veterinarian
Dr Brendan Frost (he/him) is committed to forming honest relationships with clients. He values meeting pets and their families in an inclusive and collaborative manner. He believes ongoing education can achieve trustworthy and comprehensive care.
Dr Frost feels that addressing care at each life stage can help pets live longer and healthier lives. He enjoys working with pets from new pet visits to comprehensive lifelong and compassionate aging care. He believes in building a welcoming and safe environment to create a trusting relationship. Dr Frost has a specific interest in surgery, pain management, and family education.
Dr. Frost has an undergraduate degree in biology from Grinnell College. He then received his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from the University of Minnesota in 2015. After completing a medical internship in North Carolina, he practiced in Washington state. He is a member of the FelineVMA.
He looks forward to exploring a new set of mountains by camping and hiking with his wife and two daughters. He currently has Kawnipi, his little tabby cat, and a rescue German Shepherd named Mishka.
Registered Veterinary Technician
Lisa brings a calm, compassionate presence to every patient and client she meets. She loves creating a welcoming and comfortable experience for both pets and their people. Her goal is to provide exceptional care, so she collaborates with clients to help create the best plan for their pets.
Her favorite parts of the job include assisting in surgeries, monitoring anesthesia to keep pets safe, and watching her patients grow and thrive. She is CPR certified and working on her Fear Free certification. She believes the best part of Goodheart is that clients are welcome to stay by their pets’ side every step of the way.
At home, Lisa shares her life with three French Bulldogs: Franklin, Wobbly Walter, and Betty White, and two cats: Shady Lady and Kitty. When she’s not at work, you’ll find her reading, spending time in the mountains, or relaxing with her dogs.

Jamie Sue (she/her) is an efficient and thorough animal care professional. She maintains clear, open communication. Clients appreciate that she takes time to discuss treatment plans and procedures and answer questions. Jamie Sue loves creating relationships with clients and patients through each life stage.
Patient safety and comfort is important to Jamie Sue. She reads pets’ body language to determine the best approach for their needs. She allows fearful or stressed pets time and space to become comfortable. Jamie Sue enjoys helping with dental care and keeping pets’ teeth clean and healthy.
Jamie Sue shares her home with Penny, a miniature labradoodle. She attended Sewanee: The University of the South, in Tennessee, where she majored in Environmental Science with a focus in ecology and biodiversity. Her hobbies include anything crafty: sewing, knitting, and woodworking; as well as cooking and reading.
Veterinary Care Professional
Ashley (she/her) believes in a compassionate, supportive approach. She loves helping people and pets, especially in times of need, and advocating for patients’ needs. She involves clients with their pets’ care because she understands that clients know their pets best. Ashley enjoys doing treatments in the exam room with the owner.
Ashley wants every pet to feel safe and comfortable at their appointment. She uses Fear Free techniques, reads body language, and adopts a gentle, calm approach. She loves giving pets treats and rewards to make their visits positive experiences. She loves working with cats and earning their trust. She comes to Goodheart with four years of emergency hospital experience.
Ashley attended Joliet Junior College where she earned an Animal Science degree. She has a calico cat named Quincy. In her free time, she loves to go snowboarding, golfing, and bowling.
Client Service Coordinator
Kim listens to clients’ concerns and works with them to ensure pets receive individualized care. Clients appreciate that Kim is empathetic and patient, creating a warm, safe environment. A true animal lover, she enjoys developing relationships with the people and pets who come to Goodheart. She loves that every day is different and a new opportunity to help positively influence the human/animal bond.
Kim’s family includes four children and a pit bull. When not working, she enjoys going to the gym, reading, and hiking.
